Duties and Responsibilities:
The McKean County 911 Center is responsible for the administration, operation, and long-range planning of the 911 Emergency system which provides police, fire, and EMS dispatch for McKean County. This center coordinates activities between the 911 Center and the EMA Emergency Operations Center when activated during county emergencies. Telecommunicators operate the communication system around the clock receiving and dispatching emergency calls for public safety agencies located in the county. This center serves as an interface with the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and provides an information link between Emergency 91 1 services and county criminal justice agencies and offices.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the McKean County 911 Center is to provide the link between the county residents' emergency needs and the appropriate service providers. The 911 Center strives to offer a prompt, efficient response to these emergencies, working cooperatively with fire, police, emergency medical service providers and the public citizens.

1. Assessment office- addresses, new buildings, structures, and homes, identifying specific locations to expedite an emergency response
2. Planning Office- handles new subdivisions and roadways; coordinates new additions to the GIS system, making this information available for new Emergency 911 addresses/information
3. Adult Probation Office- handles after-hours notification of on-call personnel
4. Juvenile Probation office- handles after-hours notification of on-call personnel
5. Children and Youth Services- handles after-hours notification of on-call personnel
6. District Attorney's office- investigative and information service
7. Emergency Management Agency
