McKean County Economic Development
The McKean County Commissioners established a county economic development department in 2006. This new department is called the McKean County Economic Development Office (EDO). The primary purpose of the McKean EDO is to provide services which will result in new private investment in the county and to help retain existing jobs and to help create new employment opportunities for residents of the county.
The McKean County EDO provides the following services to area residents, businesses, and municipalities: 1) information and technical assistance to businesses concerning available local, state, and federal economic development programs; 2) information and technical assistance to individuals who are considering starting a new business; and 3) information and technical assistance to municipalities and non-profit organizations dealing with various state and federal grant programs. The McKean County EDO is familiar with most community and economic development programs available through state and federal sources.
