McKean County Information Technology

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain all software and hardware equipment and supplies for all personal computers utilized by each of the county government offices and employees

2. Maintain all network infrastructures; servers, switches, cabling and wiring

3. Implement and deploy county government local area network (LAN)

4. Assess and evaluate all purchases relating to information technology equipment and services

5. Assist in (state-wide) application and implementation of state-mandated systems for all county government departments

Mission Statement: 
The mission of the Information Technology Department is to implement and maintain a secure local county government information network system and network infrastructure, offer service and support to departmental employees within the local county government, and to enhance and assist in all applicable technology needs.

1. All consultants and consulting firms contracted by the state and county that impact departmental computer applications
2. Each contracting firm that offers computer application support; application development, programming, and software maintenance
