Duties and Responsibilities:
1. maintain jury lists - county citizens to serve as potential jurors in McKean County Court(s). (generated by per capita tax rolls-Tax Assessment Office; voter registration rolls-voter Registration and Elections Office, and randomly selected by computer)

2. responsible for securing the proper number of potential jurors required for criminal and civil cases scheduled with court dates each month

3. contacting potential jurors by mail to serve, according to the number of jurors required

4. maintain and update files and record-keeping required for this office

Mission Statement: 
The Jury Commissioners work to secure taxpaying citizens of the county to serve as potential participants in the jury process through direct contact and accurate information. This office strives to maintain a good working relationship and open communications with the county government, elected officials, municipalities and the general public.
